On April 22, 2025, the Supreme Court of the United States heard oral arguments in the case of Mahmoud v. Taylor to decide whether the Montgomery County, Maryland public school district has the right to include several LGBTQ picture books, including Uncle Bobby's Wedding, in classrooms without allowing parents to opt their children out.
